Cowgirls Win SMU/DAC Invite By 20 Strokes, Pick Up Second Straight Win

Final Results
DALLAS – The Oklahoma State women's golf team raced to a 20-stroke win at the SMU/DAC Invitational, which gives the Cowgirls wins in back-to-back events for the first time since 2013 and for the 11th time in program history.

This marks two straight wins for the Cowgirls in the SMU/DAC Invitational. This event is only four years old and OSU has won it three times. The win is the 88th tournament title in school history.

Linnea Johansson had a stellar final round as she shot a career-low 66 to finish the tournament tied for second, matching the best finish of her career. The redshirt junior posted nine birdies during the round to give her a tournament high of 15.

Emma Broze also finished tied for second following a final round of even par. The finish is her highest of the season and matches her career high, which was set at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational last season.

As a team, the Cowgirls led the field in birdies with 46.

OSU won the team title at 2-over, finishing 20 strokes ahead of second place UNLV. Yupaporn Kwainpakorn of Kansas took home the individual title at 6-under.

OSU sophomore Kenzie Neisen also placed in the top ten as she finishes tied for sixth following a final round of 75. The sophomore has now finished in the top ten in consecutive events.

Maddie McCrary shot a final round 78 to finish tied for 18th. Chih-Min Chen finished the tournament at tied for 43rd following a final round of 73.

The Cowgirls also had a pair of individuals that also performed well at the Dallas Athletic Club. Isabella Deilert finishes tied for 12th at 5-over after shooting a final round of 75 and Alexis Sadeghy finishes tied for 15th following a 1-under round of 71.

The Cowgirls will be back in action on April 16, when they face off against Oklahoma in the Bedlam Cup at Karsten Creek Country Club.
