Two Cowgirls Collect Monthly Honors

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State senior Erin Willoughby and junior Jorden Davis were both selected as Big 12 Riders of the Month in their respective categories, the conference announced on Monday.

Willoughby, a Murrieta, California native, was named as the Big 12 Reining Rider of the Month. She recorded a perfect 3-0 record in March for the Cowgirls, picking up victories over top-ranked Auburn, as well as TCU and Baylor.

This marks the second time this season Willoughby has been named the Big 12 Reining Rider of the Month; she also won in October.
Â
Davis was named the Big 12 Equitation on the Flat Rider of the Month and was also named to the All-Big 12 Flat Team last month.

She recorded a career-high score of 95 against Auburn and posted a perfect 3-0 record in March, collecting Most Outstanding Performer honors against Auburn and TCU.

Earlier this month, the Hebron, Connecticut native was named as an NCEA All-American as she was selected to the Equitation on the Flat Second Team.

Davis was also named to the All-Big 12 Academic First Team earlier this season.

Willoughby, Davis and the Cowgirls return to action on April 15, when they face off with the winner of Texas A&M and Fresno State at the NCEA National Championship in Waco, Texas.
