Cowgirls Stay In Top 20

STILLWATER, Okla. – For the 10th straight week the Oklahoma State women's tennis team is ranked in the top 20 of the Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association polls, it was announced on Tuesday.
The Cowgirls (13-4; 2-0 Big 12) check in at No. 18 in the newest ITA rankings after defeating West Virginia and Iowa State to open conference play over the weekend.
OSU remains undefeated at the Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis Center with a 10-0 record, including seven shutouts.
The Cowgirls are one of three Big 12 teams represented in the latest polls: Texas Tech (No. 13) and Kansas (No. 24).
OSU is also represented multiple times in the individual rankings. Three Cowgirls appear in the singles rankings, led by Katarina Adamovic, ranked No. 33, competing primarily at the No. 1 position for the Pokes.
Vladica Babic holds the No. 38 position in the rankings after a straight-set victory against No. 123 Madison Westby of USC.
Viktoriya Lushkova checks in the rankings at No. 62 after a pair of straight-set wins against USC and Iowa State. The junior is 14-1 in singles during spring competition.
Three Cowgirl pairings are featured in the doubles rankings. Seniors Maria Alvarez and Kelsey Laurente remain a staple in the top 25 of doubles, entering the rankings at No. 23.
Lushkova and Tur Mari moved up 12 slots in the doubles rankings to No. 38 after improving to 15-2 on the season following wins against the Mountaineers and Cyclones.
The third Cowgirl duo of Adamovic and Babic are ranked No. 45 after adding two wins over the weekend to improve to 13-1 during the spring campaign.
The Cowgirls will return to action on March 29 to host No. 28 Tulsa at the Greenwood Tennis Center at 5 p.m.
