STILLWATER, Okla. - The Oklahoma State softball team will travel to Fayetteville, Ark., on Wednesday to take on Arkansas before hosting its first games of the season at Cowgirl Stadium, which will take place on Friday, March 4, in a doubleheader against Dartmouth. The Cowgirls are coming off a 1-4 weekend at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, where Oklahoma State took down No. 9 Washington and suffered narrow defeats against San Diego State and Cal State-Fullerton.
Wednesday's matchup against Arkansas will be broadcasted live on SEC Network Plus, while Friday's doubleheader will be streamed on the official Oklahoma State Athletics YouTube channel. Live stats for all Oklahoma State softball games can be found on okstate.com, and fans can catch play-by-play action on Twitter at @CowgirlSBPXP.
Watch the Cowgirls Live
Each of Oklahoma State's three upcoming games this week will be available to watch online. The Cowgirls' battle against Arkansas will be featured on SEC Network Plus, which is available on ESPN3.com for Cox Communications, DirecTV, AT&T U-Verse and DISH Network subscribers.
Saturday's doubleheader against Dartmouth will be streamed live over the Oklahoma State Athletics YouTube channel.
What to Watch For
With three home runs in 15 games this season, senior Tiffany Mikkelson is inching closer and closer to the career record at Oklahoma State. Mikkelson needs five to tie the record, which stands at 32, and six to break it. Look for the Aliso Viejo, Calif., native to add on to that tally in this weekend's home opener.
Oklahoma State's pair of transfer pitchers have produced effective outings early in the 2016 season. Shea Coats, who came in from Oklahoma Christian over the summer, registered a win over No. 9 Washington on Saturday in her first career start with the Cowgirls. UTSA transfer Kacy Freeze leads the team in innings pitched and strikeouts, and earned her first save at OSU in the win over Washington.
Season tickets for the 2016 Cowgirl softball season are now available, starting at $50 for general admission seating and $75 for seats in the reserved lower level. Tickets can be purchased
by phone at 877-ALL-4-OSU, at the OSU Athletics Ticket Office or online at http://okla.st/SoftballSeasonTickets-2016.
