Nottingham, Davis Shine As Cowgirls Take Down KSU

STILLWATER - Fifth-ranked Oklahoma State Equestrian took down conference rival Kansas State, 11-6 on Saturday to improve to a perfect 4-0 record in conference play.
"I'm feeling very good with the way the girls rode today," head coach Larry Sanchez said. "Kansas State is a very good team and their coaching staff does a great job. Anytime you can beat a Big 12 team, it's a good day."
Senior Paris Nottingham was exceptional for the Cowgirls (5-2), as she posted a team season-high score of 76.5 in Horsemanship, defeating KSU's Alyssa Lombardi.
Nottingham was named Most Outstanding Player in Horsemanship.
Senior Ty Paris and former Wildcat Kirsten Chamberland were also victorious for OSU in the event, besting K-State's Paige Kemper (74-72.5) and Danielle Kemper (75.5-74), respectively.
The Cowgirls remained unbeaten in Reining, 6-0-1, picking up a 2-1 victory over KSU in the event.
Senior Erin Willoughby stayed unbeaten as well, tying Nicholle Hatton at 69.5.
Ebba Lange continued her successful season with a 71.5-70.5 victory over Kara Guy and Julia Purus picked up a win for the Cowgirls, defeating Brynn Critcher 69-68.
In Hunt Seat competition, the Cowgirls were equally successful.
In Equitation on the Flat, All-American Jorden Davis recorded a season-high score of 90, taking down Molly Dunn's 77.
Kendall Pedigo and Carly Barrick also were triumphant for OSU, topping Rory Reichelt and Henley Adkins of Kansas State, respectively.
Barrick posted a personal-best score of 88 in Equitation over Fences, defeating Christina Martinelli's 68.
Davis scored an impressive 86 and picking up a point over KSU's Hallie Kutsche (73) in the event.
The Cowgirls would win the event, 3-1, as All-American Amy White would beat K-State's Molly Dunn, 82-75. Katie Jones and KSU's Henley Adkins tied at 79 and Maggie Drysch posted a notable 80 for the Cowgirls.
Davis (Flat) and Barrick (Fences) earned MOP honors in Hunt Seat competition for the Cowgirls.

The Cowgirls return to action on Feb. 19 for a showdown against Big 12 opponent, TCU.
