How We Got Here: Equitation On The Flat

STILLWATER – Being two days away from competition, the How We Got Here series continues with Equitation on the Flat.

Oklahoma State is 3-3 in Flat this season, posting high scores across the board and becoming a force in Hunterseat competition.

"The girls have been consistent in both flat and fences and have continued to perform at a high level against tough competition," Hunt coach Sammy Elser said.

Here's a look at how the Cowgirls have performed in the event this season:

With play set to resume this week, the Cowgirls are focused and understand the task at hand.

"I expect the girls to continue to grow more confident and to keep gaining momentum as the season progresses," Elser said.

The Cowgirls will host the Kansas State Wildcats on Saturday, Feb. 6, at 10 a.m. at Totusek Arena in Stillwater.

Here's a look at how the Cowgirls have performed in the event this season:

- Sophomore Carly Barrick leads all Cowgirls with the team's season-high individual score of 92, which came against TCU. Barrick has a 4-2 record in the event this season and earned Most Outstanding Player honors against SMU and TCU.
- All-American Jorden Davis is once again having a fantastic year for OSU. The Hebron, Connecticut native has a 4-2 record with a high score of 83.
- Maggie Drysch has been another bright spot for the Cowgirls. The junior has been a reliable competitor for Oklahoma State, recording wins against SMU, Kansas State and TCU.
- Sophomore Kendall Pedigo posted an 80 against Kansas State, where she was named MOP. She was also victorious against SMU.
- All-American Amy White has once again been a key part of the Cowgirls success. She, along with Barrick, Davis and Drysch have all competed in Equitation on the Flat as well as Equitation over Fences all season long. The senior picked up an impressive victory at then-No. 2 Auburn earlier this season.
