WACO, Tex. - No. 5 Cowgirl Equestrian was defeated by Big 12 rival Baylor, 13-6 on Saturday at the Willis Family Equestrian Center.
The Cowgirls (6-3) remained unbeaten in Reining this season, where they tied Baylor, 2-2-1.
Ebba Lange continued her winning ways, defeating Baylor's Michelina Carbone 70.5-69.5. Lange is now 8-1 in Reining this season.
Julia Purus stayed hot for OSU, extending her unbeaten streak to seven meets with a victory over Ginger Chant, 72-70.5. Purus' score of 72 tied her season-high and improved her record to 7-2 this season. She also took home Most Outstanding Player honors.
In Horsemanship, Lange picked up her first victory of the season in the event, besting Kaylee Melott, 72.5-70.
Elizabeth Collins earned her second victory in as many days, defeating Abbi Demel, 72-71. Collins improved to 6-3 on the season.
Collins was the MOP in Horsemanship.
In Hunt Seat competition, Kaitlyn Arnold was once again triumphant for OSU, winning over Gabby Conte, 82-70.
All-American Amy White also earned a point for the Cowgirls with an 82-80 victory over Baylor's Savannah Jenkins.
The Cowgirls are back at it next weekend when they travel to College Station, Texas for a battle with No. 3 Texas A&M.
