Lushkova Earns Big 12 Player of the Week

Irving, Texas – Oklahoma State's Viktoriya Lushkova earned Big 12 Women's Tennis Player of the Week, it was announced on Wednesday.
The announcement marks the third time Lushkova has earned Player of the Week honors in her career.
The Ukraine native finished the weekend undefeated in both singles and doubles during the Cowgirls' run at the ITA National Women's Team Indoor Championship.
Lushkova helped the Cowgirls win the doubles point in every match this past weekend, as she and partner Carla Tur Mari went 3-0 against three pairings from top-20 teams at the No. 2 position.
Lushkova continued to show why she has been an All-American each of the past two years. In singles, Lushkova began the weekend with a straight-set victory against No. 93 Skylar Kuykendall of LSU. Against Alabama, Lushkova took down the Crimson Tide's Joanna Nena Savva in two sets, winning, 6-3, 6-4.
The Cowgirl finished the weekend on a strong note with a dominant defeat of Clementina Riobueno of Miami, 6-1, 6-1. For the weekend, Lushkova outscored her singles opponents 36-16.
Lushkova and the Cowgirls return to action on Friday, as they travel to take on the No. 36 Arkansas Razorbacks.
