Thank You, Seniors

SAN ANTONIO - Oklahoma State has 21 seniors who are playing the final game of their collegiate careers when they suit up for the Valero Alamo Bowl on Dec. 29. Most of the players in that group have already earned their degree and those who have not are on track to graduate.

If redshirt seasons are counted, members of this group have been part of 44 wins, two 10-win seasons (with a chance at a third this year) and five OSU bowl teams, highlighted by trips to the 2014 Cotton Bowl, the 2016 Sugar Bowl and the 2016 Alamo Bowl.

Devante Averette

Junior college transfer who has developed into one of OSU's leading tacklers this season.
A second-team All-Big 12 selection by the coaches in 2016.
Graduated with a degree in educational psychology.

Jordan Burton

Junior college safety who transitioned to linebacker at OSU and earned All-Big 12 honors in 2015.
First-team Academic All-Big 12 honoree in 2016.
Honored with the team's Vernon Grant Award for outstanding leadership, spirit and enthusiasm in 2016.
Graduated with a degree in psychology/university studies.

Chris Carson

Junior college transfer who was the team's leading rusher in 2015 and was a major contributor this season.
Voted as a 2016 captain by his teammates.
Recipient of the team's Thurman Thomas award, presented to the outstanding offensive player.

Rennie Childs

Has nearly 1,000 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns in his career.
A 2014 Academic All-Big 12 selection.

Eric Davis

Has seen game action in all four seasons at OSU.
Graduated with a degree in educational psychology.

Ben Grogan

OSU's career scoring leader and one of the nation's active scoring leaders.
Second-team All-Big 12 selection from both the coaches and the Associated Press as a senior.
One of only two players in Big 12 history with four seasons of 100 or more points scored.

Austin Hays

Regular contributor in each of his four seasons in Stillwater.
Graduated with a degree in marketing.

Blake Jarwin

One-time walk-on who worked his way into becoming a starter and a legitimate NFL prospect.
Earned All-Big 12 honors in both 2015 and 2016.
Earned first-team Academic All-Big 12 honors in both 2015 and 2016.
Presented with the team's Barry Sanders Award for the greatest contribution with the least recognition in both 2015 and 2016.
Graduated with a degree in management.

Ashton Lampkin

First-team Academic All-Big 12 honoree who has been an impactful player throughout his career.
The most experienced cornerback on OSU's roster with 54 career games played.
Graduated with a degree in university studies/business administration.

Motekiai Maile

Junior college transfer who is a powerful and effective run-stopper in the middle of the OSU defensive line.
Presented with the team's Barry Sanders Award for the greatest contribution with the least recognition in 2016.

Keegan Metcalf

One-time walk-on who earned a scholarship.
Toughness made him a contributor on special teams.
His teammates voted him as a team captain in 2016.
Graduated with a degree in university studies/education.

Derrick Moncrief

Transferred to OSU from Auburn and has contributed on special teams and on defense.
A first-team Academic All-Big 12 honoree in 2016.
Graduated with a degree in university studies/education.

Grant Newell

Junior college transfer who contributes on special teams.
A first-team Academic All-Big 12 honoree in 2016.
Recipient of the team's Dr. L.L. Boger Award for academic and athletic achievement.

Lenzy Pipkins

Fifth-year graduate transfer who didn't start playing football until his senior year of high school.
Graduated with a degree in public relations.

Victor Salako

Transferred to OSU after UAB disbanded its program and started every game of his Cowboy career.
Second-team All-Big 12 honoree by both the coaches and the Associated Press in 2016.
First-team Academic All-Big 12 selection in 2016.

Barry J. Sanders

Fifth-year graduate transfer who helped Stanford to three Pac-12 titles and three Rose Bowl trips.
Recognized as the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week after he had two long kickoff returns in the 2016 Bedlam game.
Graduated with a degree in communications.

Jhajuan Seales

One of the fastest players on the roster.
Has 1,742 career receiving yards.

Kaleb Smith

Long snapper who is not a senior, but is graduating and ending his football career.
Graduated with a degree in university studies/business administration.

Jordan Sterns

A first-team All-Big 12 selection by both the coaches and the Associated Press in 2016.
Second-team All-Big 12 selection in 2015.
Earned the team's Leslie O'Neal Award presented to the team's outstanding defensive player in both 2015 and 2016.
Voted as a team captain by his teammates.
His 96 tackles during the regular season led all Big 12 Conference defensive backs.

Zac Veatch

One of the toughest players on the team.
Earned the team's Barry Sanders Award for the greatest contribution with the least recognition in 2016.
One-time starter at OL caught a TD pass earlier this season.
2014 recipient of the team's Vernon Grant Award for outstanding leadership, spirit and enthusiasm.
Graduated with a degree in management.

Michael Wilson

Versatile performer who started at every O-Line position except center during his OSU career.
Second-team Academic All-Big 12 selection in 2016.
