Cowgirl Equestrian Signs Seven

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State Equestrian team has signed seven high school seniors to its 2017 class.
"We are very excited about the strength of our recruiting class this year," said OSU head coach Larry Sanchez. "They are extremely talented in the riding arena and also have the attitude, work ethic and personality that would make any coach proud. I am very excited about the future of our program with the addition of this talented group of young ladies."
Natalie Alcorn – Somerset, Pennsylvania

Natalie Alcorn will come to Cowgirl Equestrian with numerous placings at the AQYHA World Championship show in Horsemanship, Trail and Western riding, including the bronze trophy in Trail in 2014. Alcorn was the NSBA Reserve World Champion in Trail and captured third place at the 2016 NSBA World Show in Horsemanship. Alcorn also had numerous placings in the top five and top ten at the All-American Quarter Horse Congress. Alcorn has seven AQHA Superiors, including Horsemanship, Trail, Western Riding, Showmanship, Equitation, All-Around and Open Trail.
Mackenzie Chapman – Bellevue, Michigan

Mackenzie Chapman is a seven-time AJPHA World or Reserve World Champion. Chapman has shown more than 15 AQHA and APHA horses to significant titles. The Bellevue, Michigan, native was also the Horsemanship Champion at the AJPHA Youth World Games in Kreuth, Germany. Chapman currently serves as the American Junior Paint Horse Association President.
Stephanie Helsen – Auburn, Washington

Stephanie Helsen was a 2015 Reserve World Champion in Working Cow Horse at the AQHYA World Show. The Auburn, Washington, native boasts three High Point Youth Bridle Champion wins at the Northwest Reined Cow Horse Association and also placed sixth at the AQHYA World Show in Working Cow Horse.
Harley Huff – Evansville, Indiana

Harley Huff will come to the Cowgirl family as an AQHA Youth World Champion in Horsemanship and a three-time AQHA Youth World Reserve Champion. The Evansville, Indiana, native has competed at the Quarter Horse Congress and won numerous awards such as Youth All-Around, Reserve Youth All-Around and the NYATT High Point Team Member. She is also a two-time AQHA Youth Champion and has won six AQHA Superior Awards.
Katy Rippetoe – Nashville, Tennessee

Hailing from Nashville, Katy Rippetoe was the 2013 AQHA Youth World Reserve Champion in Working Cow Boxing and the Reserve Champion in the Novice Youth Reining at the All-American Quarter Horse Congress. Rippetoe comes to OSU as a Reiner, with 2014 NRHA Youth 14-18 Reining (Third Place) and 2015 NRHA Youth 14-18 Reining Reserve Congress Champion accolades. Rippetoe was also the 2016 AWHA Youth World Finalist in Working Cow Horse and Top 10 in Reining.
Katie Schell – Chagrin Falls, Ohio

Katie Schell joins the Cowgirl signing class with Ribbons in Equitation at the Winter Equestrian Festival and a third-place finish in the Horsemanship Equitation class at the Kentucky National Horse Show. Schell has qualified and competed in the Medal Finals and Maclay regionals along with top Ribbons in the Equitation events at Kentucky, Lake Placid, Michigan, Tyron and Cleveland.
Cassidy Wilbourn – Spring, Texas

Cassidy Wilbourn joins Cowgirl Equestrian as a qualifier for the 2016 USEF Pessoa Hunt Seat Medal Finals. Wilbourn placed fourth in her age group equitation at the 2016 Capital Challenge Horse Show and rode for Zone 7 in Prix de States, where she also placed fourth. She also competed at the 2016 Winter Equestrian Festival and placed in the top ten.
