Blanco and Bolsova Advance to Qualifying at Riviera/ITA All-American Championships

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – The Oklahoma State women's tennis duo of Sofia Blanco and Aliona Bolsova advanced into the doubles qualifying draw of the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships with two more wins in the pre-qualifying bracket on Sunday.

After picking up an 8-4 win over Wyoming's Elisa Koonik and Tessa Van Der Ploeg Saturday, Bolsova and Blanco kept the momentum rolling in their first match of the day with another 8-4 triumph over Marie Norris and Alexis Pereira of TCU.

In the draw's third round, the Cowgirl duo was matched up with Pepperdine's Ashley Lahey and Dzina Milovanovic. Blanco and Bolsova would prove victorious, winning 8-4 to advance into qualifying.

Blanco and Bolsova will take on Columbia's Alexandra Solovyev and Rima Asatrian in the first round of doubles qualifying on Tuesday, while Viktoriya Lushkova and Carla Tur Mari will face Caroline Brinson and Kennedy Shaffer of Georgia.

Lushkova will compete in the singles qualifying draw as well, as the senior is set to take on No. 51 Natalie Suk of Ole Miss on Tuesday morning.
