Cowgirls Ready To Resume Competition

STILLWATER -- With less than a month until competition resumes, No. 5 Cowgirl Equestrian is ready to pick up where it left off.

The Cowgirls ended the fall semester with victories over No. 3 Baylor and No. 6 TCU and currently sit atop the Big 12 standings with a perfect 3-0 conference record.

Reining has been the Cowgirls' strong suit all season, as the team remains unbeaten in the event with a 5-0-1 record.
Â
Senior Erin Willoughby is a perfect 6-0 in the event and was named the Big 12 Conference Reining Rider of the Month in October.
Â
Sweden native Ebba Lange has shined for the OSU, posting a 5-1 record in Reining and team-high individual event score of 72.5 in the event.
Â
In Horsemanship, Ty Paris and Miranda Reed have been reliable competitors. Both have 3-3 records and high scores of 75.5 (Paris) and 74 (Reed), respectively.

In English competition, All-American Jorden Davis and sophomore Carly Barrick have led Oklahoma State.

Barrick is 4-2 in both Equitation on the Flat and Equitation over Fences. She posted a Cowgirl season-high individual event score of 92 in Flat against TCU.

Davis has complied a 4-2 record in Equitation on the Flat and a 3-3 record in Equitation over Fences, logging a high score of 88 in the latter.

The Cowgirls start 2016 with a home meet against conference foe Kansas State on February 6 at 10 a.m. at Totusek Arena.
