Cowgirls Continue Fall Action

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State softball team will host Northern Oklahoma College-Enid in a fall scrimmage game Wednesday evening at Cowgirl Stadium. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m., and admission is free.
The Cowgirls opened up their fall season last Friday with an 8-1 victory over Cowley College, battling a flurry of weather delays in the process. The Oklahoma State lineup produced five multi-hit efforts over the course of the nine-inning exhibition, including a two-double performance from freshman Taylor Lynch.
Friday's season-opener also marked the debut of transfer left-hander Kacy Freeze, who provided four innings of one-run ball in a sensational team effort in the circle. Brandi Needham earned the victory after keeping Cowley scoreless over the first three frames, and Peyton Walker tacked on two perfect innings to close the contest.
NOC-Enid is in its third season of action at the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) level, and returns three sophomores from a squad that went 32-26 in 2015.
