Lushkova Falls in Quarterfinals

Malibu, California - Oklahoma State All-American Viktoriya Lushkova fell in the quarterfinal round of the inaugural Oracle/ITA Masters today.
Lushkova fell in straight sets to Joana Eidukonyte of Clemson, 7-5, 6-4. The Cowgirl started the match by winning the first two points in the opening set. Lushkova kept the score close throughout the entirety of the first set, before Eidukonyte won the final two points.
The second set was also close throughout, with Lushkova seemingly alternating points with Eidukonyte before falling 6-4.
Lushkova finished the tournament with a 1-1 record. The cowgirl made a major impression with an upset of seventh-ranked Sydney Campbell of Vanderbilt on Friday.
The Cowgirls return to action next weekend with tournaments in Norman, Oklahoma and Little Rock, Arkansas.
