Cowgirl Softball Releases 2015 Fall Schedule

STILLWATER, Okla. – The Oklahoma State softball team has announced its 2015 fall exhibition schedule, head coach Kenny Gajewski announced Tuesday.
The Cowgirls will host six scrimmages over the course of the fall season, which begins on Sept. 18 with a home matchup against Cowley College. Over the following two weeks, Cowgirl Stadium will also host NOC-Enid (9/23) and Barton Community College (9/30) before ending the home-stand against Butler Community College on Oct. 7.
Oklahoma State's only road trip of the fall comes on Oct. 11, with the Cowgirls set to travel to Fayetteville, Ark., for a doubleheader against Arkansas. The two squads meet again after splitting a twin-bill in Stillwater during the 2014 fall slate.
The exhibition schedule concludes with a pair of home games the following week, as the Cowgirls welcome Seminole State College on Oct. 14 and Newman College on Oct. 18.
OSU's 21-player fall squad returns 14 players from the 2014-15 season, including senior Tiffany Mikkelson (third base), who enters her final season only eight home runs short of the all-time school record. Four other seniors return to the team, in addition to sophomores Vanessa Shippy (second base) and Randee O'Donnell (shortstop), who both earned spots on last season's All-Big 12 Freshman Team.
The fall campaign also marks the start of collegiate play for four incoming Cowgirl freshmen. The class consists of Taylor Lynch (Red Oak, Texas), Asea Webber (Mannford, Okla.), Berkley Faulkner (Duncan, Okla.) and Madison Montgomery (Burleson, Texas).
