July 29, 2015 | Cowgirl Tennis
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's Director of Tennis and women's head coach Chris Young announced the hiring of Matt Manasse as the new assistant coach for the Cowgirl tennis squad.
"I am excited to have Matt join our program, and I look forward to working with him as we continue to build the program to a championship level," Young said. "Matt is a dynamic recruiter, who will be excellent on court with the team as well."
Manasse comes to OSU after serving two seasons as the assistant at Wisconsin. In his two seasons, he helped lead one Badger to back-to back All-Big Ten selections. She was UW's first All-Big Ten selection since 2009.
Prior to his time with the Badgers, Manasse held a position with Babolat USA, where he was in charge of the Competition Team and helped recruit big talent for the junior and senior level Babolat National teams.
He also gained coaching experience at the University of Colorado as a camp instructor in 2012 and 2013. Manasse was also a volunteer assistant of the Boulder High School girls' team.
As a player, Manasse began his collegiate career at USC, but transferred to Purdue, where he was a three-time letter winner. He was voted by his teammates as the team captain for his senior campaign during the 2010-11 season.
"I want to thank Chris Young, Jason Lewis, and Mike Holder for giving me the opportunity here at Oklahoma State," Manasse said. "Chris has created a tradition of winning, and I'm humbled to learn from him as we take the program forward. I'm eager to get to work with the players and help bring this successful program to new heights."
