Cowgirl Equestrian Adds Blumer to Coaching Staff

STILLWATER - Former Oklahoma State Equestrian athlete and OSU Female Student Athlete of the Year, Jenna Blumer, has joined the Cowgirl equestrian staff as an assistant coach, Coach Larry Sanchez announced Thursday.
"I am very excited about Jenna joining our staff," Sanchez said. "She was a highly decorated rider here at OSU and is continuing to win events in the reining horse industry."
In her collegiate career, Blumer had success in the arena, as well as in the classroom. During her time at OSU, Blumer was a three-time Big 12 champion, a three-time National Collegiate Equestrian Association All-American, and Big 12 Reining Rider of the Year. She was also named a First Team NCEA Academic All-American in 2013 and 2014.
Blumer's experience at the NCEA Championships will be beneficial to the Cowgirls as well. The former Cowgirl rider finished her career with an undefeated record at the championships, was named the Most Outstanding Reiner and also played a major role in the Cowgirls' 2013 Western National Championship.Blumer has 15 years of experience in the National Reining Horse Association. She is a three-time World Champion, Reserve World Champion, NRHA Derby Collegiate Reining Challenge Champion and a two-time All-American Quarter Horse Congress Champion.
