Future Cowgirl Crowned World Champion

FORT WORTH, Texas - Oklahoma State equestrian signee Alexa Beaty was crowned World Champion at the 2015 National Reined Cow Horse Association Championships last week in Fort Worth, Texas. It was Beaty's fourth career World Championship.
"I'm just so happy," Beaty said. "It's something that I have been working for, something that I have been wanting to accomplish and I did."
Beaty scored a 215 in the rein work and a 217 down the fence for a composite score of 432 to clinch the Non-Pro title. Beaty was the only youth to show in this event against the very best adult non-professional riders in the country.
Beaty will join the Cowgirl equestrian team this fall and is planning to pursue a sociology degree.
