OSU Track and Field Squads Remain in Top 20

STILLWATER, Okla. - The Oklahoma State men's and women's track and field teams each dropped one spot in this week's United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) national team rankings, which were released on Monday.
The men's team settled in at No. 17, while the women moved to No. 15, keeping both teams in the top 20 for the third-consecutive week.
The Cowboys remain as the fourth-highest ranked team in the Big 12 behind No. 9 Texas, No. 14 Texas Tech and No. 16 Baylor. On the women's side, the Cowgirls are also the fourth-highest ranked team in the conference, trailing only sixth-ranked Texas, No. 10 Kansas State and No. 12 Texas Tech.
Individually, several OSU athletes have produced top-ten performances in their respective events. John Teeters maintains the nation's top spot in the 60 meter dash with his school-record breaking run (6.54) on Jan. 16. Chad Noelle remains ninth in the 3000 meter run, earned from his 2nd-place effort (7.56.76) at the Razorback Invitational on Jan. 30.
In the men's distance medley relay, the Cowboy quartet of Fabian Clarkson, Brandon Singleton, Matthew Fayers and Noelle have the third-best qualifying time, and in the weight throw, 2014 British champion Nick Miller has the fifth-best mark this season.
On the women's side, Kaela Edwards holds the No. 5 time in the 800 meter run, while teammate Chase Ealey remains tied for tenth in the shot put category. The distance medley team of Aurora Dybedokken, Stephanie Ferrante, Clara Nichols and Edwards are in the ninth spot, nationally.
This weekend, the OSU track and field team will send representatives to the Iowa State Classic in Ames, Iowa., the Husky Invite in Seattle, Wash., and the Tyson Invite in Fayetteville, Ark.
