Cowgirl Tennis Shines in ITA Rankings

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State women's tennis team moved up in the latest ITA rankings to the No. 12 spot. The squad now also features four ranked singles players and a top-10 doubles team.
OSU (8-2; 0-0 Big 12) is fresh off a hard fought win against the No. 35 Golden Hurricane in Tulsa. The Cowgirls notched a 4-3 win, marking the first time since 2006 that OSU has defeated Tulsa.
Freshman Vladica Babic broke into the singles rankings for the first time in her career, holding a No. 105 ranking.
Sophomore Katarina Adamovic jumped up 33 spots since the Feb. 10 rankings to No. 77.
Viktoriya Lushkova, a sophomore All-American, maintains her spot in the top-15, boasting a No. 12 ranking.
Playing at the No. 2 spot for the Pokes, Kelsey Laurente checks in at No. 80 in this week's rankings.
Lushkova and Laurente are also ranked in doubles as the No. 6 pair in the nation.
The Cowgirls have a busy weekend ahead, hosting Oral Roberts and No. 47 SMU in a doubleheader on Friday before traveling to Norman, Okla., on Sunday to take on No. 31 Oklahoma.
