STILLWATER - The Oklahoma State softball team will celebrate the beginning of the upcoming season by hosting the 2016 Cowgirl Softball Banquet. Tickets are now available.
The event will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 6:30 p.m. in the O-Club Room, located on the concourse level of Gallagher-Iba Arena. Individual tickets can be purchased for $45, while reserved tables for nine are set at $400.
Michele Smith, a two-time Olympic Gold medalist and All-American who starred for the Oklahoma State softball squad from 1986 to 1989, will serve as the event's honorary guest speaker.
Other aspects of the banquet include an autograph signing with the 2016 Cowgirls and a silent auction, where fans can bid on memorabilia and other exciting items associated with the Oklahoma State softball program. Fans in attendance will also be joined by at least one player or coach at each table.
"It's extremely exciting for us to begin an annual tradition with the Cowgirl softball banquet," head coach Kenny Gajewski said. "I'm absolutely thrilled to introduce this year's team to our fans and supporters, and we are honored to have Michele Smith join us at the event." '
