Cowgirls Selected to Play in National Indoor Championships

STILLWATER—Three members of the Oklahoma State women's tennis team have been selected to participate in the 2015 USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships.
Katarina Adamovic was named a participant in singles after winning the USTA/ITA Central Regional championship last month in Stillwater. Adamovic, ranked No. 92 by the ITA, is looking to continue her form of impressive results this fall.
Adamovic recorded seven wins in the regional championships to advance to the National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships.
Kelsey Laurente and Maria Alvarez will represent the Cowgirls in the doubles portion of the event. The senior duo automatically qualified after capturing the regional title inside the Greenwood Tennis Center.
Alvarez and Laurente won six matches during the central regional to qualify for a trip to the National Indoor Collegiate Championships, including upsets of ranked pairings from Arkansas and Minnesota.
The 2015 National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships will take place Nov. 12-15 at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York.
