WILMINGTON, N.C. – Maddie McCrary, Chih-Min Chen and Kenzie Neisen all played their way into the top 10 to help the Oklahoma State women's golf team wrap up the fall season with a third place finish at the Landfall Tradition.
The Cowgirls entered the weekend ranked No. 10 in the Golfweek/Sagarin ratings, and notched top-four finishes in three of their four tournaments this fall, including a win in the Schooner Fall Classic in September.
McCrary has been unstoppable of late. Since starting the fall 19-over par in her first six competitive rounds, the sophomore has rebounded to shoot 12-under par in her last five outings – including today's even par 72. McCrary tied for fourth at 3-under for her best finish of the season so far.
Neisen saved her best round for last. The reigning Big 12 champion birdied holes 12 and 16 to finish 1-under for the day, and in a tie for 10th place.
Chen was even for the day, and also tied for 10th place overall. The freshman has finished in the top 10 in each of her last three tournaments, and was at or under par in eight of her 11 rounds this fall.
Linnea Johansson tallied four birdies to finish 1-under on the day, and in a tie for 24th place overall. Isabella Deilert played in her first tournament of the year, and finished in a tie for 87th at 22-over.
The Cowgirls will take the winter off and return to action on Feb. 7 at the Northrop Grumman Challenge in Palos Verdes, Calif.
