ALPHARETTA, Ga. — Oklahoma State's men's golf team rose two spots on the leaderboard during the second round of play at the U.S. Collegiate Championship on Saturday after posting a 292 at The Golf Club of Georgia.
Through 36 holes, the Cowboys stand at 590, 14-over par, and tied with LSU for 12th place at the par-72, 7,017-yard layout. Wake Forest moved into the lead after posting a 285 during its second round to stand at 569 and one shot clear of the field.
Auburn's Will Long fired his second consecutive 68 to get in with a 136 total and grab the top spot in the individual race.
Sophomore Stratton Nolen carded a 72 for the second day in a row to come in tied for 22nd place at 144, while classmate Brendon Jelley's second consecutive 74 tied him for 42nd place at 148.
Junior Wyndham Clark shaved five shots off his opening 77, posting a 72 to stand at 149 and tied for 50th place.
Joining Clark at 149 was senior Jordan Niebrugge, who signed for a 74 during his second round.
Redshirt freshman Hayden Wood rounded out the starting five with a 79 to finish the day tied for 85th place at 157.
Junior Zachary Olsen, who is in the field as an individual, posted a 71 to finish tied for 58th place at 150.
The Cowboys will begin their final round tomorrow at 8 a.m. (EST) and will be grouped with Kent State and UCLA. Live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
