STILLWATER – There is a lot more to sophomore Julia Purus than just equestrian. Here are five things to help you get to know the Purcell, Oklahoma native.

"I like to put music on and be to myself. I'll run through the pattern once in my head and go over what I want to do. I keep it positive."

Funniest person on the team:
"Me. No question."

Celebrity status:
"I met Sigourney Weaver from the movie Holes. It was really random, but she used my horse to ride around the Adirondack Mountains when I lived up in New York."

Favorite athlete:
"Derek Jeter, well at least he was. Even though he retired, he's still my favorite player."

Favorite TV shows:
"Anything on HGTV. I really like Property Virgins."
