Huge Weekend Awaits Cowgirl Equestrian
October 15, 2015 | Cowgirl Equestrian
Meet Notes: Georgia
Meet Notes: Auburn
STILLWATER – Cowgirl Equestrian hits the road this weekend with one of the biggest trips in recent memory lying ahead of them.
At 1 p.m. on Friday, the Cowgirls will face off with the No. 1-ranked Georgia Bulldogs, who are 3-0 on the season.
Oklahoma State will travel to Auburn, Alabama on Saturday, to face off with No. 2 Auburn at 10 a.m.
"We are very excited to go up against both Georgia and Auburn," Cowgirl Head Coach Larry Sanchez said. "They are currently No. 1 and No. 2 in the country and will provide a great challenge for our girls."
Oklahoma State looks to build off the momentum generated by last week's road victory at Kansas State, which snapped the Wildcats' home meet win streak at 18.
The Cowgirls have been led by a balanced attack, giving strong performances across all events so far this season. Oklahoma State has been defeated in only one event, posting an impressive 6-1-1 record in two matches.
Kendall Pedigo, Carly Barrick, Maggie Drysch, Jorden Davis, Libby Collins, Miranda Reed, Justine Peters, Ebba Lange and Erin Willoughby all look to stay unbeaten in their respective categories this weekend.
With a hot start and already having won on the road this season, the Cowgirls are prepared for the task at hand.
"Our girls are ready to go and we look forward to tomorrow," Sanchez said.
