OSU Softball Set to Face Seminole State
October 13, 2015 | Cowgirl Softball
STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State softball team will close its fall exhibition season with a pair of scrimmages this week, beginning with a matchup against Seminole State on Wednesday at Cowgirl Stadium. First pitch is set for 6 p.m., and admission is free.
The Cowgirls are coming off a dominating performance against Arkansas on Sunday, as Oklahoma State outscored the Razorbacks, 26-2, in a doubleheader. In the first game of the twin-bill, Tiffany Mikkelson provided one of the greatest individual performances of her career, notching 11 RBIs on three home runs, two of which were grand slams.
In six exhibitions this fall, Oklahoma State has averaged a whopping 13 runs per contest and has scored 16 or more on three different occasions. The OSU pitching staff has been electric as well, allowing only four earned runs in 52 innings in the circle.
Seminole State heads to Stillwater coming off one of the team's best seasons in school history. In 2015, the Lady Trojans went 48-11 in NJCAA play and advanced to the regional round of the junior college national tournament.
Oklahoma State will wrap up fall play on Sunday, as the Cowgirls host Newman College at 2 p.m. For more information and updates, follow @CowgirlSB on Twitter.
