• Was named the Large Schools Player of the Year by The Times-Picayune as a senior.
• Was also the top-rated player in the state of Louisiana according to NOLA.com's "Terrific 20".
• Named the MVP of District 10-4A.
• Scored 15 points, dished out six assists and grabbed four rebounds in the Class 4A state championship game, leading the Landry-Walker Chargin' Buccaneers (finished 35-5) to the title with a 76-56 win over East Jefferson.
• Was named the Most Outstanding Player of the state tournament.
• Recorded 25 points and six assists in the semifinals.
• Was a three-time All-Metro selection by The Times-Picayune (2012-14).
• Was a four-time all-district selection (2011-14).
• Was named the District Player of the Year three-straight seasons (District 9-4A in 2012 and `13; District 10-4A in 2014).
• Scoring averages were: 17.2 points, six assists and 5.6 rebounds per game as a senior; 17.5 points, seven assists and 6.3 rebounds as a junior; 15.5 points per game as a sophomore.
• Led his team to the state semifinals in 2012 and the state quarterfinals in 2013 (finished 28-7).
• A three-star recruit according to Rivals.com, chose Oklahoma State over LSU, West Virginia, Texas A&M, UTEP, Louisiana-Lafayette, Middle Tennessee State, New Orleans and South Alabama.
Personal
Born May 29, 1996, Tyree is the son of Tyra Griffin and Bo McCalebb, Sr. He has an older brother, Bo McCalebb, Jr., a younger sister, Aalyiah, and a younger brother, Tyrin. Bo Jr. played collegiately at New Orleans and was the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year in 2007. He's played professionally overseas since 2008. Tyree is undecided on his major at Oklahoma State.
