Cowgirls Fall at Amelia Island

AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. – Cowgirl tennis's Katarina Adamovic and Karyn Guttormsen suffered losses in each of their respective singles matches on Tuesday at the Amelia Island Women's Championship.
Guttormsen made it to the final match of the qualifying bracket, where she faced Alexa Graham. The Cowgirl dropped the match in two sets, losing 6-4, 6-2.
Adamovic played her first match of the main draw, also her first match of the tournament. The Serbian, ranked 900th in the world, went head-to-head with No. 3-seed and 599th-ranked Laetitia Sarrazin of France. Adamovic took Sarrazin to three sets but suffered a loss, 5-7, 6-4, 6-1.
Doubles play was suspended due to rain, and Wednesday's play is to be determined.
