Guttormsen Advances in Qualifying Bracket at Amelia Island

AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. – Oklahoma State tennis senior Karyn Guttormsen picked up a win in the qualifying bracket of the Amelia Island Women's Championship on Sunday.

Guttormsen opened her tournament play with a straight-set victory over Peeraya Charoensirisutthikul, 6-4, 7-5.

With the victory, the Cowgirl needs two more wins to advance to the main draw of the event. She will face Mary Catherine Haffey in the bracket's second round on Monday at 9 a.m. CT.
