Cowgirl Equestrian Slotted at No. 3 in Preseason Rankings

The Oklahoma State Equestrian team will kick off the 2014-15 season as the third-ranked team in the nation, according to the National Collegiate Equestrian Association preseason rankings released on Tuesday. The ranking is the team's third top-five ranking in the last three years.
All four Big 12 teams make an appearance in the initial rankings. Oklahoma State leads the pack (No. 3), followed by Baylor (No. 5), Kansas State (No. 6) and TCU (No. 7). The Cowgirls will also face ranked squads South Carolina (No. 2) and SMU (No. 10) in nonconference action during the team's 2014-15 campaign.
The Cowgirls enter the season as winners of three-consecutive Big 12 Championships, and return four All-Americans from last season.
Oklahoma State will open the season on Saturday, Sept. 27, in Stillwater against South Dakota State at 1 p.m.
