STILLWATER—Oklahoma State welcomes several new freshmen to the Cowboy wrestling team. Okstate.com spoke with some of the athletes about their interests off the mat. Their comments:
Chandler Rogers, 165 pounds
If you could visit any place in the world, where would you go and why?
“I would probably go back to Yellowstone. I've been there a few times and I really liked it.”
Who is the most played on your iPod?
“Josh Turner. I like country music a lot.”
If you could have dinner with any three people (living or dead), who would they be?
“Jesus, probably my friend from Washington because he really likes Jesus and my brother.”
Do you have any secret talents?
“I can cross one eye.”
Who is your celebrity crush?
“Carrie Underwood.”
What do you like most about Stillwater?
“The people are really nice here. It's like family.”
If you were a superhero, what would be your superhero name?
“Chandler the Man-Handler.”
What is your biggest pet peeve?
“When people chew with their mouths open.”
Tyler Mann, 149 pounds
Who is you favorite athlete to watch in another sport?
“Michael Vick because he's so good that he embarrasses people on the field.”
If you could trade places with anyone for a day, who would it be and why?
“My dad because he's in the military, and I want to see what top-secret stuff he does.”
What is a TV show you watch but you're embarrassed to admit?
“Buffy the Vampire Slayer.”
Xbox or PlayStation, and what is your game of choice?
“PlayStation 3 and Assassin's Creed: Black Flag.”
What is the best part of being a Cowboy?
“Being a part of the great wrestling tradition.”
Who is your biggest inspiration?
“My parents.”
If you could compare yourself to an animal, what would it be and why?
“Obviously a lion because I'm ferocious.”
Who would play you in a movie about your life?
“Brad Pitt because we look alike.”
Ryan Blees, 157 pounds
What is one talent you would most like to have?
“I want to fly.”
What is your favorite wrestling moment?
“Winning Fargo Nationals.”
If your house/apartment were on fire and you only had time to save one possession, what would it be?
“My two dogs because I really like them.”
What is on your bucket list?
“I don't have a bucket list.”
What is your favorite Stillwater restaurant and what do you get there?
“Grandma's Kitchen, and I like their Country Sizzler.”
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
“With a job and hopefully still doing some wrestling.”
What is your favorite home-cooked meal?
“Steak.”
