OSU Represented On Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team

IRVING, Texas - Oklahoma State was one of five schools with at least 40 student-athletes represented on the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team it was announced today by the league office.
OSU had 40 representatives on this year's squad and its six nominees with a 4.00 grade point average tied Kansas State for top honors.
The Cowgirl track and field program led the way with a seven honorees, while the wrestling squad produced five selections. The baseball team, Cowboy track and field squad and the Cowgirl soccer program each produced four selections.
Nominated by each institution's director of student-athlete support services, student-athletes on the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team must be new, first-time/incoming freshman that have completed 24 semester hours of non-remedial coursework and achieved a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00.
Additionally, the student-athlete must have participated in at least one of their team's scheduled contests and must have been a member of their respective team for their sport's entire NCAA Championship segment. The Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team in the 2012-13 academic year.
