Lushkova Falls in Round of 16 at NCAA Championships

ATHENS, Ga. - Oklahoma State women's tennis freshman Viktoriya Lushkova capped off her freshman season on Friday, falling to No. 27 Ester Goldfeld in the round of 16 at the NCAA Championships in Athens, Ga.
Lushkova knocked off No. 14 Olivia Janowicz of Florida, 7-5, 7-5, on Thursday in the tournament's round of 32 to pick up her first career All-America honors and advance to today's round of 16 where she was outlasted by Goldfeld, 6-4, 6-3.
Lushkova finished her freshman campaign with a 19-5 record in both singles and doubles play this season. Earlier this month, she was named ITA Central Region Rookie of the Year and Big 12 Freshman of the Year. The Ukrainian freshman was also named All-Big 12 in singles and doubles.
