STILLWATER -
The Oklahoma State softball team has released the dates for its 2014 summer camp. This year, Cowgirl softball will offer two camps to help improve offensive, defensive, pitching and catching skills. The Intermediate Camp will run June 8-11 while the Advanced Camp will run June 15-18.
The Intermediate Camp will allow players ages 8-14 to develop or enhance offensive, defensive, pitching/catching and base-running skills. This camp will focus on total-player development through station work and competitive contests. The last day to register for the Intermediate Camp is June 1.
The Advanced Camp is designed for players in grades 9-12. This camp will focus on advanced offensive, defensive, pitching/catching and base-running skills. Each player will have the opportunity to work on position-specific drills, team-related drills, and other defensive and offensive skills. Skills will be enhanced through position work and competitive games. The last day to register for the Advanced Camp is June 7.
Overnight participants for both camps will reside in the deluxe suites in Zink-Allen or Booker-Stinchcomb living quarters. Check-in will begin at 5 p.m. on Sunday in the Griffith Community Center and check-out will be at noon on the last day of camp. The cost for overnight campers is $410 and the cost for commuting campers is $310.
The camp is open to any and all entrants within the set age requirements. To register for either camp, please visit the official Oklahoma State athletics website here.
