Seeds Announced for 2014 Equestrian National Championship

STILLWATER – The 2014 Big 12 Champion Oklahoma State equestrian team has earned the second seed for the 2014 National Collegiate Equestrian Association's National Championship, the NCEA Selection Committee announced today.
This year's national championships will be held April 17-19 at the Extraco Events Center in Waco, Texas.
The Cowgirls (10-3) are coming off their third-straight Big 12 Championship crown, after defeating Kansas State in the semifinals and Baylor in the final round. OSU will play the winner of New Mexico State and SMU in its first match at nationals after receiving a first-round bye.
Beginning with the 2014 championship, the top-12 teams are invited to compete. Previously, 12 hunt seat and 12 western teams were invited to compete. The NCEA Selection Committee determines and invites these teams based on a number of factors throughout the season.
