Seven Cowgirls Named to NCEA All-American Teams

STILLWATER - Seven members of the Oklahoma State equestrian team were named to the National Collegiate Equestrian Association 2013-14 All-America class, it was announced today.
Freshman Jorden Davis earned First Team honors in the equitation on the flat event. She holds an 8-2 record in the discipline, competing in 10 of the 11 matches.
Senior Samantha Harrison garnered Second Team accolades in the equitation over fences event. This season, she is 8-3 in the discipline, with three Most Outstanding Performer awards against Delaware State, Auburn and Kansas State. She also has three more awards in the equitation on the flat event.
OSU had three Cowgirls named First Team selections in the Horsemanship event out of a possible four.
Junior Katy Krshka has posted a 9-2 record this season, with six Most Outstanding Performer honors in the event and nine overall. It is the third-straight year she has been named All-American.
Junior Lindsey McMullen is also 9-2 this season and picked up a Most Outstanding Performer award on Nov. 2, 2013, for her 76.5-71 victory against South Dakota State. This year's honor for her makes it back-to-back All-America selections.
Senior Lauren Halvorson holds an 8-3 record this season, with two Most Outstanding Performer awards on the road against Baylor and Texas A&M. With the selection, Halvorson will finish her career at OSU as a four-time All-American.
In the reining discipline, sophomore Justine Peters earned Second Team honors. She is 9-2, picking up two Most Outstanding Performer awards in matches against Big 12 foes, TCU and Baylor.
Senior Jenna Blumer received Honorable Mention accolades in the reining event. She has an 8-3 record with three Most Outstanding Performer honors thanks to her victories against Baylor, Auburn and Tennessee-Martin. It is her third consecutive season to be named All-American.
The Cowgirls travel to Waco, Texas, for the Big 12 Championship Tournament this weekend and will face Kansas State on March 28 at 10 a.m. at Willis Family Equestrian Center.
