- It is the 12th NCAA Tournament appearance for the Cowgirls and the seventh second round berth.
- With the win, the Cowgirls moved to 10-11 all-time in the NCAA Tournament.
- The Cowgirls improved to 3-4 all time in second round NCAA games
- It is the third Sweet 16 berth in Oklahoma State history.
- It is the 25th win of the year for OSU, making it the third-best season total in school history.
- The Cowgirls took a 38-31 lead into halftime and shot 44% from the field.
- The largest lead of the night was 15 points when the Cowgirls were up 42-37 with 17:17 remaining in the second half.
- OSU gained the lead thanks to a Roshunda Johnson three with 7:54 remaining in the first half to make it 23-20. The Cowgirls would not surrender the lead the rest of the game.
- Tiffany Bias had seven assists in today's game, giving her a career total of 780. She sits in third place in the Big 12 history books behind Erin Grant and Shalee Lehning.
- Bias made her 110th consecutive start, a string that dates back to her freshman year.
- Brittney Martin led the team with 20 rebounds, not only giving her a career high in a single game, but improving her career NCAA Tournament total to 46 boards. With that, she became the all time OSU career rebounds leader in Tournament games.
- Martin earned a double-double thanks to her 20 points and 20 rebounds. It was her third in the last four games.
- LaShawn Jones also picked up double-double with her 16 points and 12 rebounds.
- Jones' 12 boards was a career high and she was one away from her career high in points as well.
- Roshunda Johnson had a career high of 16 points.
- Liz Donohoe's three-pointer gave her a total of eight in NCAA Tournament play, moving her to number three in OSU career three-point field goals in the Tournament behind Taylor Hardeman and Andrea Riley.
- OSU had four players finish with double-digit scoring. Brittney Martin had 20, Roshunda Johnson with 16, LaShawn Jones with 16 and Liz Donohoe with 12.
- Johnson had two three-pointers in the game, bringing her NCAA Tournament total to five. That moves her to a tie for fifth with Althea Cox and Shelly Blessing in the OSU record books.
- The Cowgirls went on an 8-0, sparked by layups by Tiffany Bias and LaShawn Jones, to take a 17-10 lead with 13:25 to play in the first half.
- OSU opened the second half on a 9-1 run thanks to seven points from Martin and two from Jones.
- The Cowgirls forced 18 turnovers.
- They out-rebounded the Boilermakers, 42-40.
