Elser to Compete at Collegiate Equitation Challenge

STILLWATER – Sammy Elser, a senior on the Oklahoma State equestrian team was selected to participate in the Winter Equestrian Festival Collegiate Equitation Challenge on Feb. 7 in Wellington, Fla., it was announced today.
Elser is 4-2 this season in the over fences discipline with recent victories over Delaware State's Haley Jeske, 84-74, and Auburn's Elizabeth Benson, 89-76.
The competition will feature 16 NCEA and IHSA riders in a head-to-head competition over fences. Riders participating will compete in preliminary rounds in a bracket style format, with winners advancing to the final round on Feb. 8.
The festival is a 16-week event that hosts more than 5,000 horses from 50 states and 31 countries and is held at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center. The WEF is the world's largest and longest running equestrian competition.
