The Oklahoma State men's and women's cross country teams have been recognized as U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Teams, it was announced today.
In order to qualify as an All-Academic team, teams are required to have a collective GPA of at least 3.0, and compile a team score at the regional meet. This is the 16th consecutive year the OSU men (3.21) have been honored, and the 11th-straight year for the OSU women (3.50).
Individually, Craig Nowak (3.63), Joseph Manilafasha (3.35) and Monika Juodeskaite (3.41) received All-Academic honors. This is the second-straight year in which both Manilafasha and Juodeskaite have been honored.
In order to qualify as an All-Academic individual, athletes must maintain a 3.2 GPA and either be a cross country All-American or finish in the top 10 percent of their regional meet.
The OSU men were one of four Big 12 teams to be honored, and the women were one of seven teams honored from the conference.
