Cowboys Extend Streak in the Top Five

The Oklahoma State women's cross country team moved up to No. 18 in this week's U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) national rankings released Tuesday.
With 131 votes, the Cowgirls retain their position as the second-highest ranked team in the Big 12 and mark their fifth-consecutive week of being ranked in the top 20. Oklahoma State last competed at the Cowboy Jamboree, where Monika Juodeskaite's first-place run helped the Cowgirls to their fifth-consecutive team championship at the meet.
The Cowboys stayed put at No. 4 for the fifth-straight week, extending its streak of being positioned in the top five to 58 consecutive weeks. OSU's 327 votes trail Colorado, Oregon and Northern Arizona, respectively, helping the Cowboys remain as the top-ranked team in the Big 12.
Oklahoma State's cross country squads will return to action on Oct. 18, when they travel to Sunnyvale, Calif., to compete at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational.
