PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – Oklahoma State women's doubles team Viktoriya Lushkova and Kelsey Laurente were knocked out of the ITA All-American Women's Championships on Friday in the quarterfinals of the main draw.
Lushkova and Laurente, ranked No. 27, took on No. 15 Davidson/Zhao of Standford. OSU was not able to pick up another upset-win and dropped the match, 6-3, 6-1.
The Cowgirls had an impressive run, knocking off two top-20 teams earlier this week.
Sophomore All-American Viktoriya Lushkova finished singles play at the Riviera/ITA All-American Women's Championship on Friday in California.
Lushkova played Josie Kuhlman of Florida in the first round of the singles main draw consolation bracket. The Cowgirl took the match in two sets, 6-4, 7-5.
The win advanced Lushkova to the second round, where she took on top-ranked Jamie Loeb of North Carolina. The Cowgirl won the first set with ease, 6-1, but Loeb fired back, winning the second and third sets, 6-2, 6-3.
Oklahoma State will be back in action in Stillwater on Oct. 16-20 as it hosts the ITA Central Region Championships.
