STILLWATER -
Oklahoma State's Noah Gade will represent the United States at the Bupa Great Edinburgh International Team Challenge, this Saturday, Jan. 11, at Holyrood Park, in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Gade is the third-straight OSU underclassman to represent the U.S. in international competition (Kirubel Erassa, 2011, and Craig Nowak, 2012).
"Based on how we have done in the past, with Kirubel [Erassa] winning his race in 2011, and Craig [Nowak] finishing third but being the top American finisher in 2012, I felt we had some credibility and I nominated Noah because I think he has been running well," OSU coach Dave Smith said. "It's always exciting to represent the U.S. for the first time, go overseas and travel with the team. We also have Joe Gray, one of our former athletes, who is on the men's team."
Gade's race, the Men's Junior 6k, will take place at 6:10 a.m., CT.
