OSU Has 12 Named To All-Academic Teams

The Oklahoma State men's and women's track and field teams have been named USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams, and combined to have 12 athletes earn All-Academic honors, it was announced today.
On the women's side, Jackie Campos, Victoria Fratczak, Monika Juodeskaite, Kate Kujawa, Clara Nichols, Natalja Piliusina, Taylor Stolt and Caitlin Way all earned individual All-Academic honors. The eight Cowgirls selected was the highest number in the Big 12, and the most in OSU history.
It was the second year in a row Piliusina, Way and Kujawa earned the award.
On the men's side, four Cowboys, Taylor Buck, Fabian Clarkson, Brian Gohlke and Nick Miller, earned the award. It was the second-straight year Clarkson and Miller have been honored.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have met either of the following athletic standards: for the indoor season, a student-athlete must have finished the regular season ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org; for the outdoor season, a student-athlete must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships (including preliminary rounds).
As a team, the Cowgirls were named an All-Academic team for the 11th-straight year. The team's collective 3.42 GPA tied a team record, and was the highest mark in the Big 12.
On the men's side, OSU was named an All-Academic Team for the 10th time in the last 11 years. The team GPA, 3.24, was also the highest in the Big 12.
To become a USTFCCCA All-Academic team, a team GPA of at least 3.0 was required.
