Cowboys Finish 10th At Aggie Invitational

BRYAN, Texas - Oklahoma State's men's golf team closed with a 292 during its third round at the Aggie Invitational on Sunday to finish 10th at Traditions Golf Club.
The Cowboys finished with a 24-over total of 888 at the par-72, 7,146-yard layout. Alabama cruised to an 18-shot victory, finishing as the lone team under par with an 18-under 846 total.
Alabama also produced the top three players on the individual leaderboard with Cory Whitsett tallying an 8-under 208 to win the event by a shot over teammate Bobby Wyatt.
Junior Kevin Dougherty fired OSU's low round of the tournament, posting a 69 to move into a tie for 23rd place at 220. The Murrieta, Calf., native carded four birdies on his outward nine and turned at 3-under 33 before posting an even-par 36 that included three birdies on his closing nine for his 3-under score.
Junior Ian Davis tied for 27th place at 221 after posting his low round of the event with a 73.
Freshman Jordan Niebrugge also posted his low round of the event with a 71 to tie for 32nd place at 222.
Junior Talor Gooch closed with a 79 to finish at 226 and tied for 49th place, while sophomore Patrick Winther wrapped up play with a 79 to finish at 231 and tied for 60th place.
The Cowboys will be back in action on April 13 when they begin play at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate in Austin, Texas.
