Seeds Announced for 2013 Equestrian National Championship
Stillwater, Okla.—The seeds for the 2013 National Collegiate Equestrian Association's National Championships have been selected. This year's national championships will be held April 18-20 at the Extraco Events Center in Waco, Texas. It marks the seventh straight year that Baylor University and the City of Waco have hosted the national championship.
The NCEA is divided into two disciplines - Hunter Seat and Western, and each discipline will have its own bracket with 12 teams in it. Each of the two divisions has a 12-team seeded bracket similar to that of the NCAA basketball championships. Teams are seeded from one through 12 and placed accordingly into the bracket.
In the Western bracket, the Cowgirls earned the No. 1 seed with a 14-2 record. Oklahoma State receives a first-round by and will face the winner of the Auburn (9)/ Baylor (8) opening round meet.
In the Hunter Seat bracket, Oklahoma State earned the No. 7 seed with a 9-7 record. The Cowgirls will face tenth-seeded Texas A&M in the opening round.

At last year's NCEA National Championships, Oklahoma State finished second in the western bracket while the hunt seat team made it to the third round.
