Coach Sanchez Named Big 12 Coach of the Year

STILLWATER, Okla.—Coach Larry Sanchez was named the 2013 Big 12 Coach of the Year by the other coaches in the Big 12 this past Saturday. Sanchez led the Cowgirls to there second consecutive Big 12 Championship this season along with an 11-5 record.
The success did not stop there for the Cowgirls as they would go on to take many of the All-Big 12 selections. Samantha Harrison was selected to the Equitation Over Fences All-Big 12 for the second consecutive year. Lauren Halvorson and Katy Krshka were also selected to their second consecutive All-Big 12 Horsemanship team. Krshka also went on to win her second consecutive horsemanship rider of the year award. Jenna Blumer was also selected as the reining rider of the year as well as the co-scholar athlete of the year.
