Martin Named Top Freshman For Fifth Time

IRVING, Texas - Oklahoma State's Brittney Martin was selected as the season's final Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Freshman of the Week it was announced today by the league office.

The honor marked the fifth time Martin has received the distinction.

The Syracuse, Utah native played all 40 minutes in Oklahoma State's season finale at Iowa State. She scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for her third double-double of the season while hitting nine of her 19 shots from the floor.

Martin also added three assists, one block and five steals. Her point total was one shy of her season high, while her five steals marked the seventh time this season she has had at least five in a game.

The Cowgirls will be back in action on Saturday at 11 a.m. when they take on Texas Tech at the Big 12 Championship in Dallas.
