Nowak, Vail To Compete In IAAF World Championships

Cowboy freshman Craig nowak and OSU alum Ryan Vail will represent the United States at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships this Sunday, March 24, in Bydgoszcz, Poland.
Nowak will compete in the men's junior race at 12:30 p.m., Poland time, which is 6:30 a.m., central time. The men's senior race, featuring Vail, will take place at 2:10 p.m., Poland time, or 8:10 a.m., central time.
Back on Feb. 2, Nowak won the Junior 8k race at the U.S. Cross Country Championships in St. Louis, Mo. His time of 24:47 was more than four seconds faster than the field.
Vail ran a 35:36.8 to finish sixth in a deep men's open 12k in St. Louis to qualify for the world championships.
