Oklahoma State's third-ranked equestrian team lost a heartbreaker to the No. 6 Baylor Bears on Saturday, losing in raw scores, 1471.5-1346.75

"We rode with a lot of confidence today and fell just short," coach Larry Sanchez said. "We tied in head to head match-ups and it was disappointing to lose the tiebreaker. The girls are fired up and ready for tomorrow."

After falling behind 4-1 in equitation over fences earlier in the meet, the Cowgirls horsemanship team, led by junior Lauren Halvorson who picked up her second MOP of the year, rallied and tied the overall score at 5-5.

Sophomore Allie Joyce had her second MOP performance of the year, with a high score of 95, which helped lead the Cowgirls to a 3-2 win in equitation on the flat.

Despite Kaci O'Rourke's MOP performance, the Cowgirls lost 3-2 in reining, tying the overall score at 10-10 but would lose in raw scores, 1471.5-1346.75

Oklahoma State falls to 7-4 on the season and 2-2 in conference competition. They will be back in action Sunday when they travel to Fort Worth to take on the TCU Horned Frogs at 10 a.m. Be sure to follow @OSUEquestrian on Twitter for live updates of all the action.
